PERSONALISED

At Active Allsorts we want to give our participants the chance to live their best life.  We understand that there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach when it comes to the journey of life.  We are here to help people reach their peak, whatever that might look like to them.

SUPPORTED

Our aim is to provide our clients with a range of supports that will help them learn, grow and achieve.

We do this by giving our clients the opportunity to get out of their comfort zones, whilst providing a safe and encouraging environment for them to do so.

FOSTERED

With this support we believe that our clients will foster better relationships, form better habits and are more likely to achieve the goals and outcomes they are looking for.

hi, i’m jack o’brien and i am the founder of active allsorts

I have worked in disability care for the last 10 years.

Over those years it has given me great joy supporting clients to develop strategies to help them meet and exceed their goals.

Prior to working in the disability sector, I worked in the Sport and Leisure field, giving me the opportunity to combine my love for travel whilst working. During this time, I worked in the USA as a camp counsellor teaching water skiing and wakeboarding at a sleep away camp. I also worked as an Activities Instructor at an island resort in the Whitsundays. When I met my wife, we continued to travel the world, along the way we met all sorts of people, travelled to all sorts of places and went on all sorts of adventures… and that’s how our name & motto came about.

I now spend my free time chasing after my two daughters and exploring the beautiful region that is the Geelong, Bellarine & Surf Coast.

what we provide

Currently our business is based around individual supports with a focus on community & social inclusion:  We provide support within the community and can provide in-home supports. Supports will be provided to our clients to help them work towards achieving their goals this may include access and participation in community, social and recreational activities; those who live independently will be assisted to maintain their accommodation and keep up their activities of daily living (eg. bathing and showering, personal hygiene and grooming, dressing).

We also provide short term accommodation at our homestead located in Winchelsea, those looking for some down time can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of a beautifully renovated self-contained bungalow amongst the green acres of the farm. Participate in feeding of the animals, pick some veggies from the garden or just relax as the day goes by.  Located 1.5km from the township of Winchelsea we are within walking distance of shops, parklands and eateries and being only at 25-minute drive into the heart of Geelong there is always something to do with a large array of events happening year round in the region

Active Allsorts has been proudly serving the Greater Geelong Region for over three years. During this busy time, my wife and I have welcomed our first child in 2022 and our second in 2024, all while building and growing our disability support services into what it is today.

We love the Greater Geelong Region and have discovered it truly offers something for everyone. With its stunning coastline, a variety of events, and numerous activities, the area provides endless opportunities for our clients. From accessible beaches and bush walks to waterfalls and mountains, there’s always an adventure waiting. Enjoy local amenities like bowling alleys, cinemas, play centres, swimming pools, and libraries, all with inclusive and accessible options. The region also boasts numerous local clubs, low-cost activities, scenic sights, and great shopping destinations.

At Active Allsorts, we are dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities find their passion and explore all that Greater Geelong has to offer.

Let us support you in discovering new experiences and enjoying an active, fulfilling life!
